Return & Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your order from Romance Bookish Things. Please read our return policy carefully before making a purchase. This policy is written in accordance with EU consumer protection laws, including the Dutch Herroepingsrecht (Right of Withdrawal).
1. Stickers, Tiles, and Bookmarks
You have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving any reason.
- Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as received.
- You are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
2. Clothing Items (Apparel)
All clothing items are made to order and custom-produced for you. This means they are exempt from the EU right of withdrawal and cannot be returned or exchanged unless:
- Seller Mistake – We sent the wrong item
- Print Error or Defect – There is a clear manufacturing defect or print issue
In these cases:
- You must contact us within 7 days of receiving your order
- Please email mail@romancebookishthings.com with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the defective or incorrect item
If your claim is accepted, we will offer a replacement or full refund (including return shipping if applicable).
3. Personalised Products
Personalised items, such as customised tiles, are made specifically for you and cannot be returned or refunded unless defective or incorrect.
4. How to Request a Return or Refund
Email mail@romancebookishthings.com with:
- Your order number
- Reason for return or details of the defect
- Photos if applicable
We will review your request and reply within 14 days.
5. Changes to Orders
- Clothing items: Orders are sent to production automatically after purchase. We usually have only a few hours (sometimes less) to make changes. If you need to modify your order (size, address, etc.), email us immediately. We cannot guarantee changes, but if possible, we will help.

Stickers, Tiles, and Bookmarks: These are handmade and shipped by us, so there’s a little more flexibility. Contact us as soon as possible if you need a change.
6. Exceptions & Notes
- Untracked shipping is offered as a lower-cost option for EU customers ordering stickers, tiles, or bookmarks. Choosing this option means you accept full responsibility for loss or delay. For peace of mind, we recommend tracked shipping.
- Items returned to us due to refusal of delivery, non-payment of customs duties, or failure to collect will be refunded excluding shipping costs, and any return fees charged to us will be deducted from your refund.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, postal services, weather, or public holidays.
