Return & Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your order from Romance Bookish Things. Please read this policy before placing an order. This policy follows EU consumer protection laws, including the Dutch Herroepingsrecht.
1. Stickers, Tiles and Bookmarks
You may cancel and return your order within 14 days of receiving it.
- Items must be unused, in the original packaging and in the same condition as received.
- Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility.
- Shipping fees are non refundable.
2. Clothing Items (Apparel)
All apparel items are made to order. They are exempt from the EU right of withdrawal and cannot be returned or exchanged unless:
- Seller mistake, wrong item sent
- Manufacturing defect or print issue
If this applies:
- Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Email us via mail@romancebookishthings.com with your order number, a description of the issue and clear photos.
- If the claim is approved, we offer a replacement or a full refund, including return shipping if needed.
3. Personalised Products
Personalised items, such as customised tiles, cannot be returned or refunded unless defective or incorrect.
4. How to Request a Return or Refund
- Email us via mail@romancebookishthings.com with your order number, the reason for your request and photos if needed. We review all requests and reply within 14 days.
5. Changes to Orders
- Clothing items: Orders are sent to production shortly after purchase. There is only a small time window to make changes. Email us immediately if you need to modify your order. We cannot guarantee changes, but we will help if possible.
- Stickers, tiles and bookmarks: These are prepared and shipped by us, which allows more flexibility. Contact us as soon as possible if you need a change.
6. Exceptions and Notes
- Items returned because of refusal of delivery, unpaid customs charges or failure to collect will be refunded excluding shipping fees. Any return fees charged to us will be deducted from the refund.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by customs procedures, postal services, weather or public holidays.
